The Conservation Carpathia Foundation, (FCC) came alive as a response to the disappearance of wilderness in Romania, which occurs at an alarming rate. The Carpathian Mountains are home to one of the last wildernesses in Europe, as well to some of the largest populations of large carnivores. FCC strives to ultimately return landholdings to the public domain in the form of National Parks that are strictly protected by law.
