Update: Matching $30,000 is Closed

Our hearts go to all the refugees of Ukraine who are in need of food, shelter, and medicine today.

In this exceptional situation, Romanian United Fund and the Embassy of Romania to the United States have set up the Ukrainian Peace Fund to support health facilities with medicines and equipment, and support families of refugees with food and hygiene items. 100% of the funds will go to carefully vetted partners that are actively engaged in the crisis area, including the Red Cross, Save the Children, and World Vision Romania.

We are grateful for the support of the Consulate General of Chicago, The Federation of Romanian American Organizations, Repatriot, the Romanian Cultural Institute, and of the FORA member organizations.

Romanian United Fund is a 501c3 International Charity Organization, registered in the state of Illinois, and a member of FORA. RUF has raised 1.4M dollars and financed over 40 projects in Romania, and in the diaspora. RUF has a 100% pass-through model, which means every dollar donated is granted to one of our partner organizations.
