The Need

For thousands of patients in Caraș-Severin, Hunedoara, and Mehedinți, a cancer diagnosis also means exhausting journeys of hundreds of kilometers to receive treatment.
There is currently no oncology hospital in the Banatul Montan region.

This distance costs time, money, energy and often hope.

The Project

Muzică pentru Viață is a community-driven initiative created by Radio Romania Resita, supporting the construction of a modern oncology hospital in Reșița, in partnership with Asociația OncoHelp Timișoara, a trusted provider of oncology care in Romania.

The hospital will include:

• Oncology outpatient services

• Inpatient and day-hospital care

• Palliative care services

• Medical imaging and diagnostics

• A closed-circuit pharmacy for personalized treatments

This hospital will allow patients to receive diagnosis, treatment, and care closer to their families, in dignity and safety.
