DACIA e.V. Association Nürnberg, non-governmental, non-profit organization, was founded in 2004. The mission is to develop educational modules for children, young people and adults belonging to Romanian minority in Germany.

DACIA e.V. Association Nürnberg is a non-governmental, non-profit organization, founded in 2004 and taken over by Ionela van Rees- Zota in 2011 as President

DACIA e.V. Association Nürnberg was founded by a group of 7 people in 2004 and since 2011 it has been managed by a board of 5 people and since 2018 by 7 people.

The mission is to develop educational modules for children, young people and adults belonging to Romanian minority in Germany, leading to the affirmation of their ethnic identity through emancipation, sociology-cultural, educational, linguistic and religious minorities in Germany, the sociology-economic reintegration of Roma youth and adults, as well as their school and professional recovery.

Objectives:

  • Sociology-economic reintegration of homeless people;
  • educational and vocational rehabilitation;
  • to promote and combat all forms of discrimination;
  • to promote equal opportunities in social competition;
  • to promote social equity and support disadvantaged communities;
  • integrating and helping those in need

 

In order to achieve the aims and objectives of its activity, the association will act in following main directions:

  • Initiating and developing contracts with governmental and non-governmental, national and international organizations that can support the achievement of the proposed objectives;
  • carrying out studies and experiences of collaboration with national and international institutions in the field;
  • to carry out programmers and projects and to achieve their objectives in partnership with the local administration;
  • integration of children of Romanian origin into the educational system;
  • support the school and individual programmers through social assistance (food, clothing, school supplies, medical assistance);
  • partial social and educational assistance to children and parents;
  • carrying out their own economic activities under the conditions laid down by law.

The main means of action of the association are the following:

  • the initiation, organization and implementation of programs and projects, ways of sociology-educational, sports and professional integration of members belonging to this minority;
  • publishing books, magazines, leaflets, brochures, posters, etc.
  • initiating and carrying out programmers and projects in the following fields: economic, agricultural, cultural, sports, solving within the legal framework of land and housing ownership;
  • initiating programmers to ensure minimum living conditions;
  • organizing activities and equipping premises with appropriate equipment and materials, - organizing cultural, educational, sporting and tourist activities, etc;
  • carrying out programmers and projects for social assistance and intervention;
  • expanding and modernizing its own infrastructure, as well as managing material and financial assets, in accordance with the provisions of the law;
  • other activities provided for by law, such as: performances, printing and productions audio-video, etc;
  • supporting persons belonging to the Romanian minority to exercise the right to profess and practice their own religion, as a fundamental element of identity and to benefit from various services in their mother tongue;
  • setting up companies or holding shares in such companies, in accordance with the law;
  • organization of activities in their own establishments in accordance with the special activity law;
  • organization of cultural and artistic events specific to the inhabitants of the community in the Bayern area,
  • materials, logistics, necessary to carry out their activities.
