Ionel Nechiti is an Investment Director for Aramco Ventures based in Houston. He focuses on value creation for venture capital investing and portfolio management in downstream oil and gas, energy efficiency, renewable energy, and water technologies in the Western Hemisphere by identifying and executing global sourcing opportunities.

With over 28 years of hands-on experience in the energy and technology sectors, including twelve years in venture capital and equity investing and eight years in roll-up acquisitions, Nechiti brings leadership in managing global business investment by driving innovation and sustainable growth. He also has experience in boosting shareholder value, securing P&L performance, directing corporate finance, transforming organizations, performing transactions, and chairing various boards of directors.

Prior to Aramco, Nechiti was President of a global energy venture fund targeting manufacturing, distribution, and technologies. Nechiti holds degrees and certificates from Babes-Bolyai, Rice, Harvard, and Stanford University, specializing in accounting, technology, business administration, valuation analysis, mergers and acquisitions, and private equity-venture capital.
