My name is Mihaela Constantinescu and I am writing on behalf of the NGO MAVI – Mothers with Aspirations, Visions, Initiatives – to present an educational project that we strongly believe will improve the quality of education in schools.Β
The program is called Relational School – program for education through empathy – and it is a program that focuses on personal and professional development of teachers, with empathy in the center, along with the latest methods of connection, communication and learning. This program is an additional support for teachers, through which we aim to provide them with tools and relevant information that will help them to put children, their needs and stages of development at the center, making the learning process more efficient through the relational component and facilitating behavioral change in children and their experience of their years in school.Β The aim of the program: more balanced teachers, more prepared for the challenges of the new generations, emphatic, who will spark in children the curiosity for learning, to discover their vocation and to become good, curious, free, happy people.Β
Structure of the program & its novelty:
-> online modules by psychologists, psychotherapists, specialists in neuroscience, non-violent communication, etc.
-> personalized face-to-face support with the program’s coordinating psychologist in order to guide and support them in the application of the knowledge acquired. This support would be provided periodically through dedicated individual and group sessions.Β
Why are we writing to you? Because we are looking for funding to make this program happen and we sense that you, like us, believe in the power of community. We want small schools to be able to develop as well as those in big cities, we want community members to take their young children to their neighborhood school so that they have more time to spend with their families and not in traffic, and this can only be achieved by improving the quality of education.Β
We already have a pilot school that has expressed interest in joining us and implementing the program there, the teachers are open and eager to develop, we already have a number of specialists that we have spoken to in developing the program and we would be happy if you would give us a chance to tell you more about our program in a presentation.Β
