Dear Romanian United Foundation Team,
I hope this email finds you well. My name is Cristian Popa, and I am a student at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. I am reaching out because I am interested in establishing a Romanian student organization at my university am eager to foster community, cultural awareness, and connections among Romanian students.
Through my research, I discovered your organization and was impressed by your strong focus on uniting and strengthening the Romanian diaspora. Your work resonates deeply with my goal of giving back – whether by promoting Romanian culture here in the diaspora or supporting meaningful causes in the homeland.
I noticed that RUF has initiatives involving students and education (such as scholarships and partnerships), but I did not find specific information about direct collaborations with university student clubs or groups. I would love to explore whether RUF might be open to partnering with or advising a new club at a university such as UF. This could include ideas for events, fundraising for Romanian causes, cultural exchanges, or other ways to tie our efforts to supporting Romania.
If RUF isn’t the right organization for working with university-level initiatives, I would greatly appreciate any guidance you might offer β whether that means a referral to another organization better suited to collaborate with students, or simply a conversation about where the greatest needs lie. I am eager to get involved in any capacity that allows me to contribute positively to the Romanian people, and am open to whatever form that involvement might take.
As a first-generation Romanian, thank you all for the important work you do. I look forward to hearing your thoughts and am happy to provide more details about my ideas for the club or schedule a call if helpful.
Warm regards,
Cristian
