Romanian United Fund (RUF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization registered as an International Charity in the State of Illinois. Our address is 5408 N Kedzie Ave, Chicago, IL, 60625.

We have a 100% pass-through model. This means all donations made through our platform are transferred to one of our partners.

Tax deductibility

Your contribution(s) should be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law, provided that no goods or services were provided in exchange for your contribution.

Whenever you donate through our website or through Facebook, you should receive an email with your donation receipt(s).

Credit Card and Other Fees

Our website host is NationBuilder, and our payment provider is Stripe. Stripe's fees are very much in line with industry-wide practiced processing prices. Learn more about our credit card fees.

When you donate on Meta (Facebook), donations are processed through Paypal Giving Fund. Meta no longer covers processing fees for donations made after 7:00 PM on October 31, 2023.

Disclaimer

Total fees typically do not exceed 3.5% in the aggregate. All administrative and other costs associated with, inter alia, the receipt, recording, accounting, and processing of your donation are covered by the independent volunteers and/or independent operational budget of the Romanian United Fund (which budget is funded through the generous support of RUF founding angels and corporate-sponsors, and segregated at all times from your donation). You can help us by making your donation go further by increasing your intended gift by 3.5 percent to help cover such third-party transactional expenses.
