Philip Choban is the founder and CEO of Telios Care, a pioneering telemedicine company in Romania. With a background in investments and entrepreneurship, Philip has dedicated himself to transforming healthcare delivery in Eastern Europe. His journey into telemedicine was deeply personal, starting after he returned to Romania to care for his wife, Carmen, who suffered from early-onset Alzheimer's. This experience inspired him to create Telios, which offers 24/7 access to doctors and healthcare professionals via phone or video, making healthcare more accessible and affordable for people in remote areas.
Choban's leadership has earned him recognition, including being named one of the Top 20 Innovators in Telemedicine in 2020. His company has formed partnerships with leading insurance companies and is expanding its services across Central and Eastern Europe. Telios also engages in corporate social responsibility projects, providing telemedicine services to disadvantaged communities, including the blind and those in rural areas
