Short Description:

Michael and Kristen Stone, moved by a chance meeting with children supported by Asociația Magic at a Bucharest Christmas event, made a $25,000 pass-through grant through Romanian United Foundation to send 50 ill children to MagiCAMP's summer camp in Romania.

Details:

After meeting children supported by Asociația Magic at the Marmorosch Hotel's Christmas celebration in Bucharest, Michael and Kristen Stone of The Stone Group wanted to help.

Through Romanian United Foundation's transparent pass-through model, they gave $25,000 to Asociația MagiCAMP, funding a life-changing week at camp for 50 children battling cancer, recovering from severe burns, or grieving a loved one, with round-the-clock medical supervision from volunteers and doctors. This summer, the Stones and a colleague will volunteer at camp themselves — turning a chance encounter into a lasting commitment to Romania's children.

The grant advances RUF's mission of connecting donors like the Stones to trusted, high-impact causes in Romania. Through its transparent pass-through model, RUF turns a chance encounter into lasting, hands-on engagement — deepening the diaspora's connection to social change projects in Romania.
