The Chicago Romanian-American community is holding a second General Community Meeting.

This meeting is open to every member of our Romanian American and Moldovan American community, representatives of the local NGOs, artists, and in general everyone interested.

Concrete proposals:

• Establishing the Chicago Community Council as a democratic body for the Romanian and Moldovan communities
• Establishing the Chicago Community Fund
• Open a Chicago Community Center, to belong to and benefit the entire community

We will be collecting interest and suggestions for more participants for our next meeting, which is scheduled to take place in two weeks' time. During the next meeting, we hope to establish the initial formation of the Council.
