Diana Gini
On June 30th, Bucharest will meet a truly surprising creative voice: Diana Gini, author of the novel GAME ON, to be published simultaneously in Romanian, English, and Spanish — with a bold mission to build a global audience.
A graduate of the Faculty of Music in Oradea and a PhD student at the National Music Academy “Gh. Dima” in Cluj, Diana first emigrated to the United States, then traveled the wider world, and now lives in Madrid with her husband Pablo, originally from Uruguay, and their two children.
Anca Mizumschi
Anca Mizumschi — poet and essayist
“Diana’s book came as a complete surprise. And seeing the community come together to turn her dream into reality is an even more beautiful one.”
Dr. Mihail Pautov
The event will also feature Dr. Mihail Pautov, who will join Diana Gini in an open, candid conversation about unexpected challenges and hidden strengths, about the power of the human spirit and the desire to leave behind not the memory of a trauma, but the story of a transformation.
What to Expect
The evening promises to be full of surprises — joining Diana Gini will be special guests from Romania and visitors who have traveled especially from abroad for the occasion.
GAME ON is a fantasy novel born from the most real battle of her life. A story of masks, mirrors, and the particular courage it takes to finally see yourself clearly. At this event, Diana reads from the book, speaks candidly about the process of writing it, and opens the floor for the kind of conversation that only happens when someone commits to telling the truth in public.
Expect readings. Expect candid conversation. Expect special guests. Expect the particular quiet that settles in a room when something real is said out loud.

Meet Our Guests
UnpublishedRomania is a global network of emerging authors and curators, specialists and culture enthusiasts united by a shared purpose: to give voice to Romanians everywhere who have stories to tell about history, identity and Romanian culture — expressed through creative means, from literature to music, film and everything in between.
Nelu Lazar
Nelu Lazar — founder of UnpublishedRomania
“Designed especially for those taking their first steps in creative expression, the UnpublishedRomania platform offers support through volunteering, best practices, access to expertise, experience, networking, and visibility within Romanian communities around the world. In every Romanian diaspora member’s drawer, there is a grandfather’s wartime diary, youthful poems, a melody, or a novel they never dared to publish — but never wanted to seem lost. We are here to tell them that dreams can become reality through the power of community.”
Mihai Lehene
Mihai Lehene — founder, RUF and GlobalRomania
“RUF, through GlobalRomania, is proud to support UnpublishedRomania as a much needed cultural sandbox to help us deep-dive into our legacies, our history and our identity. Without culture, no trust is possible, so this is what we are building here — a network of trust for creative Romanians. And the fact that the first emerging author is our own Diana Gini is no coincidence — the future leads with our bravest!”
Marius Bostan
Marius Bostan — founder of RePatriot
“Romanians living beyond borders are a strategic resource of talent, entrepreneurial spirit and respect for Romanian values. They are an invaluable asset in building a more beautiful, more prosperous and more globally relevant Romania as they are a fertile ground for a global and strong culture — one with a Romanian voice, wherever Romanians are in the world.”
