Paula Seling

Paula is an outspoken supporter of personal freedom, individual rights and human rights. She represented Romania at Eurovision 2010 and was chosen by Walt Disney to record the song "My Spirit Flies" for the Pixar Academy Award-winning animation Brave.

Paula has been studying piano since the age of six and is one of the most appreciated artists in Romania. With over 18 albums released, with sales of over 250,000 units, she approaches the most diverse genres: pop, pop-opera, bel canto, jazz, folk, rock, soul, sacred music, even hip-hop.

Paula graduated from the University of Music in Bucharest, in the Jazz-Pop Music Composition department, where she also completed her master's studies. She distinguished himself as a music producer and composer, writing and producing the albums Culeg vise, Believe, One mile of words, Povesti de iarna, La umbra crucii Tale, Steaua rasare and has delighted audiences over time with songs full of sensitivity, with a strong message, but also with outstanding performances, winning numerous trophies at national and international competitions.

Paula performed on stage with many important names of the international music industry Al Bano, Beyonce, Michael Bolton, Chick Corea, Anita Doth, Alexander Rybak, she is the voice of Holly in the Romanian version of the animated film Cars 2, by Walt Disney Studios and performed the song I Can Fly from the soundtrack of the animated film Brave.
She also won third place at Eurovision 2010 - the best placement of Romania at this show/contest. For her talent, creativity, and versatility, at Eurovision 2014 she was declared the most beautiful participant at the festival, after having won this trophy at the 2010 edition. She also holds the record for the longest single-breath passage at the same contest.

Paula Seling has been involved in numerous cultural projects such as the making of the video at the Triumphal Arch in Bucharest for the state anthem "Desteapta-te romane" (Romanian State Anthem). The recording and filming took place between 23-25.11.2020, with the support of D.G.A.P.M.F.P. (General Directorate of Landscape Architecture and Public Monuments). Making of the video clip at the Roman Athenaeum in Bucharest for "Hora unirii", recording and filming took place on 19.01.2021 with TVR 3 and the George Enescu Philharmonic.


She is also an influencer on social media platforms. It's the result of the work and publicity she has created for herself, as well as the music and charisma with which she conquered the general public.Β
