Romanian Community Summit 2025, “From Ideas to Action”, to Convene Global Romanian Leaders in Chicago
Third annual gathering to spotlight business growth, academic bridges, and community unity
Chicago, IL - Leaders from across the Romanian diaspora, along with officials from Romania and the United States, will gather in Chicago this fall for the Romanian Community Summit 2025 (RoSummit 2025). Organized through a partnership of the Romanian-American community in Chicago and other diaspora organizations, the Summit catalyzes collaboration, innovation, and impact.
A Platform for Action
RoSummit 2025 is set to become the key platform where partnerships are forged, resources are mobilized, and projects take shape. The daylong program features keynote conversations, expert panels, and interactive workshops, culminating in a high-level networking reception that connects participants with decision-makers across sectors.
Key Focus Areas
This year’s agenda zeroes in on three strategic priorities for the Romanian diaspora:
- Community unity - strengthening collaboration among churches, civic associations, and cultural organizations to amplify collective impact.
- Business expansion - supporting Romanian-owned enterprises to scale and succeed in U.S. and global markets.
- Academic & alumni bridges - linking universities, researchers, and students to foster knowledge exchange and professional mobility.
Confirmed Participants Include: H.E. Andrei Muraru, Ambassador of Romania to the United States, Honorable Oana Țoiu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania, Honorable Daniel David, Minister of Education of Romania, Consul Generals and Honorary Consuls, Presidents of business chambers, academia representatives, and community organizers from major U.S. states with significant Romanian populations.
