#PlayFor Good Update
In June our Global Village got together to #playforgood and we promised we’ll keep you updated. With your help, the Asociația Magic summer camps started: a trip to Maramures, a visit to Cascada Cailor/Muntii Rodnei, a day of fun at Therme Bucuresti. Here is a message from one of the superhero parents to remind us everyday about the magic we create together:
“Hi! We got home. Thank you so much for this wonderful opportunity to relax without feeling judged, without people looking at us cross-eyed. Today we forgot about all our worries and we had fun, both me and especially our kids ”
Romanian American heritage Award
Call for applications: The Romanian American National Heritage Award is an annual competition for youth with Romanian heritage or background. Applicants of non-Romanian descent may qualify, as long as their work and experience relate to Romania or the Romanian community in the US.
Presented by the American Romanian Cultural Society, Alianta, and Romanian United Fund, with the endorsement of the Embassy of Romania to the United States
The Mission and Purpose of the award are to recognize exceptional contributions to the cohesion of the Romanian community and the preservation of its heritage, language, culture, and traditions.
June 30 - Submission of Applications Opens
September 30 - Submission of Applications Closes
October 15 - Winners Announced
November 18 - Award Ceremony at the Alianța Gala in Washington DC
AutoVortex Romania
The Romanian Robotics Team AutoVortex Romania, + AutoVortex FAN COURIER won 1st place at the International Robotics Championship CRI 2021 in Chicago! The students, with ages between 13 and 18, accompanied by their coach, assistant. univ. dr. Ionuț Valentin Panea presented 3 robots in the competition on July 16th.
We are proud, we are happy, and we share the celebratory feeling with the entire team!

#MindYourHealth Campaign
We dedicated the month of July to healthcare through our #rufmindyourhealth campaign. Our partners’ fundraisers will remain open until the end of August, if you wish to contribute with a donation or opening your own fundraiser to support one of the projects.
Daruieste Viata launched the campaign Together for a chance at childhood which aims to increase the quality of life for children who undergo hemodialysis at the Marie Curie Hospital Center. To do so, they would like to purchase 2 high-performance machines that will reduce the adverse effects of hemodialysis.
