- Computer Programming (drawing, animation, game design)
- Trading & Investing 101 (for 10 to 99 year olds)
- Introduction to Cybersecurity
- Competition Math (for 1st to 10th graders), and
- In-person Romanian Language (at ROCO Chicago)

The 7th edition of the Romanian American National Heritage Award
We are pleased to announce the upcoming Romanian American National Heritage Awards iteration. This annual competition recognizes outstanding contributions by high-school students in unifying the Romanian community or preserving its language and culture.
International Children's Day
Learn more about Via Transilvanica at our booth at the upcoming event on June 4th to celebrate International Children’s Day at St. Paul Woods, Chicago, from 11 AM to 6 PM.
Other activities on-site include a petting zoo, face painting, language classes, a miniature World Cup, and much more.

Building a Community Together
In the past months, RUF has reaffirmed its commitment to our six areas of focus: Diaspora Community, Education, Civic Engagement, Healthcare, Environment, and Heritage. We are excited to announce the addition of our newest area of focus: Arts & Culture.
We highlight two events that have exemplified these goals and their great potential: the Chicago Romanian Community Summit and the Romanian Healthcare Professionals.
Autovortex
At the 2023 FIRST Championship in Houston—a competition event for youth robotics serving 192 teams from 23 countries—all four participating teams from Romania received awards: AutoVortex, based at Colegiul National de Informatica "Tudor Vianu” in Bucharest, TechnoZ team from Pitesti, Peppers team from Iasi, and Ro2D2 team from Ploiesti.
We are proud to have financed $7,500 of the $15,000 AutoVortex needed to participate, and we wish them all the best at their upcoming international competitions: the Maryland Tech Invitational in the United States (June 20-25) and the World Robotics Championship in Australia (July 15-17).
