CHICAGO, IL - February 2026 - The Romanian United Foundation (RUF) announces that its President and Founder, Mihai Lehene, has been named a 2026 Titan 100 Chicago honoree. This marks the second time he has received the recognition, highlighting his sustained leadership and contributions to the nonprofit sector and the Chicago community.

The Titan 100 program honors Chicago’s top 100 CEOs and executives who demonstrate “excellence through their vision, passion, and integrity, creating lasting impact across industries and communities,” according to Titan CEO and headline sponsor Wipfli. “They are accomplished leaders who have made a significant impact on their organizations while shaping the future of the Chicago business, nonprofit, and civic landscape.”

Since its inception, RUF has expanded its reach and impact through support for key initiatives such as Via Transilvanica and the launch of GlobalRomania - a private online space dedicated to Romanians everywhere, built for real connections, valuable conversations, and new opportunities. Launched at the RUF Gala on December 5, 2025, GlobalRomania has continued to grow, connecting Romanians in 300+ cities worldwide.

The recognition reflects RUF’s commitment to long-term, results-driven community impact.

The 2026 Titan 100 Chicago honorees will be celebrated at the annual awards event on February 19, 2026, at The Geraghty.
