Before this role, he served as a managing partner at Allston Trading from 2007 to 2022, where he honed his skills in trading and financial management. His career began as a research assistant at the University of Illinois at Chicago from 2003 to 2004, followed by a position as a software analyst at Bank of America from 2004 to 2007.

Mr. Lehene's professional journey includes roles such as honorary advisor to the Romanian Minister for Research, Innovation and Digitalization since 2023, and an algorithmic trader at Jump Trading LLC from 2020 to 2021. His involvement with Keiretsu Forum Midwest since 2016 further underscores his commitment to industry engagement and innovation.

Mr. Lehene holds a Master of Science in computer science from the University of Illinois, Chicago, earned in 2004, and a Bachelor of Science in international business from Bucharest University of Economic Studies, completed in 2001. These academic achievements have been instrumental in shaping his career path and success. He attributes his accomplishments to a combination of luck, mentorship and inspiration, often finding that setbacks lead him to new opportunities.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Lehene has been recognized for his early achievements in computer science with national awards from the National Computer Science Olympiad in 1995, 1996, and 1997. These accolades highlight his longstanding dedication to excellence and innovation.

In his personal life, Mr. Lehene has a fulfilling family life with his wife, Claudia, and their two children. His family provides him with support and inspiration as he continues to progress in his professional and personal pursuits.
