This summer, give your child the chance to explore the natural beauty of Bucovina at Bucovina Adventure Camp, set in the scenic mountain landscapes around Broșteni in northern Romania. Designed for young explorers ages 6–14, the camp offers a unique blend of outdoor adventure, cultural discovery, and hands-on learning in a safe and inspiring environment.
From forest hikes and botanical walks to traditional cooking workshops and storytelling inspired by Romanian culture, each day brings new opportunities to explore nature, learn new skills, and build lasting friendships. Through guided adventures, creative activities, and evenings around the campfire, children develop confidence, curiosity, and a deeper appreciation for Romania’s natural and cultural heritage.
About The Camp
The Bucovina Adventure Camp is a fun and educational summer experience designed for children ages 6–14 who are eager to discover nature, explore Romanian traditions, and enjoy an unforgettable week in the mountains of northern Romania.
Organized in partnership with Dor Travel, the camp combines outdoor activities, cultural experiences, and interactive workshops in a safe and engaging environment where children can learn, explore, and grow.

Camp Highlights

Program Overview
Day 1 - Arrival & The Story of Water
Travel from Cluj-Napoca to Broșteni with a surprise visit to the mineral water factory in the Dornelor area. Children settle into the Brădet Guesthouse and begin the camp with an interactive workshop about water, nature, and environmental protection, followed by group games and evening activities.
Day 2 - Creangă’s Stories & Life Skills
Cultural activities inspired by the world of Ion Creangă, including a visit to the museum school where Nică a Petrei studied. The afternoon focuses on practical life skills and financial education workshops, ending with a campfire evening.
Day 3 - Traditional Cooking & Nature Discovery
Participants prepare traditional dishes such as alivenci and poale-n-brâu, enjoy a picnic in nature, and take a guided botanical walk to discover medicinal plants and herbs used in local traditions.
Day 4 - Forest Adventure
A full day of outdoor exploration with forest hikes, water games, and time spent enjoying the natural surroundings. The evening concludes with a relaxed movie night and group activities.
Day 5 - Wildlife & Return
Visit to the Dârmoxa Deer Reserve, where children observe animals in their natural habitat and learn about biodiversity before returning to Cluj-Napoca.
Cost & Registration
✔ Camp Fee: $500 per child
✔ Includes: Lodging, meals, activities, guided excursions, and trained instructors
TRANSPORTATION:
- Included in cost - Transportation Cluj - Brosteni -Cluj
HOUSING:
- In a small housing setting of Gasthaus Bradet
- 2-3 children in one room
FOOD:
- 3 meals a day
- Advise of any allergies!
- Snacks between meals
SLEEP HOURS:
- 8 am wake up time
- 10 pm bedtime (quiet time)
- if tired, can go to bed earlier
ELECTRONICS:
- 1 hour at dinner, usually between 7 and 8 pm (this time may be modified, but will advise if such), can call parents at this time, otherwise no electronics.
