Founded in 2018, Romanians of Washington, DC (Romanians of DC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing together Romanians and Moldovans living in the greater Washington, DC metropolitan area while promoting Romanian culture, traditions, and heritage to the broader American public.

The organization works to strengthen a vibrant and united Romanian-American community by fostering meaningful connections, encouraging civic engagement, and creating opportunities for collaboration among members of the diaspora in the Washington, DC region and across the United States.

Through a diverse range of cultural, educational, and community initiatives, Romanians of DC celebrates and preserves Romanian traditions while promoting intercultural dialogue and greater appreciation of the history, culture, and heritage of both Romania and the Republic of Moldova. Its programs and events create opportunities for cultural exchange, helping build lasting relationships between the Romanian-American community and the wider American society.
