In December 2019, Alin Ușeriu, the President of Tășuleasa Social, and Szekely Ana, the Executive Director of the association, represented Via Transilvanica in Chicago, in the most successful evening in the history of this project. RUF and the Romanian diaspora community in America raised $100,000 in one gala night, which materialized in 100 km of Via Transilvanica route.

 

 

 

In the spring of 2022, Via Transilvanica returns to America, in 5 major cities. This time with a documentary film about what it means to build a long-distance trail in Romania. Directed by Mircea Gherase, the film captures the entire process of building the road, including its longest stretch - the 256km stretch in Caras-Severin county. The "The road ahead: Terra Banatica" film caravan brings Via Transilvanica to the screens, a premiere for the Romanian diaspora in the USA, presented by representatives of the Via Transilvanica project!
