How long is this hike/trip?
Annually, we walk about 100 kilometers (each summer). This means, on average, about 20 km/day.
To walk the entire Via Transilvanica at this pace, it's a 15 year project.
-
How difficult is the hike?
The entire trail has been created and designed with the goal in mind of making sure that almost any person can walk it. Difficulty is medium: the trail should be walkable by teenagers as well as elderly people.
-
What type of shoes should I wear ?
We suggest bringing one pair of waterproof hiking boots, one pair of athletic shoes, and some extra pairs of socks. Additionally, it would be wise to pack some blister bandages for potential foot discomfort.
